Curriculum Vitae

Matthias Goldmann ist Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für Internationales Recht an der EBS Universität. Außerdem ist er Wissenschaftlicher Referent am Max-Planck-Institut für ausländisches öffentliches Recht und Völkerrecht in Heidelberg. Zuvor arbeitete er von 2016 bis 2021 als Juniorprofessor an der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt. Im Jahr 2015 wurde er mit einem Freigeist-Stipendium der VolkswagenStiftung ausgezeichnet. Er hat an der Universität Heidelberg in Rechtswissenschaften promoviert und an der New York University einen LL.M. erworben. Er hat zahlreiche Publikationen in nationalen und internationalen juristischen Fachzeitschriften veröffentlicht und war von 2017 bis 2022 einer der Schriftleiter des German Law Journal. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind das Recht und die politische Ökonomie des Finanzwesens, die Transformation der Wirtschaftsverfassung sowie die Theorie und Geschichte des Europa- und Völkerrechts, insbesondere deren koloniale Vergangenheit.
