He is director of the Frankfurt Laboratory for Experimental Economic Research (FLEX) and coordinator of the Experiment Center at the Leibniz Institute for Financial Research SAFE. His primary area of research is behavioral, experimental, and organizational economics with particular interest in the analysis of social interaction, human boundedly rational decision-making, and the psychology of incentives.
