Household Finance

Die Abteilung Household Finance erforscht die Finanzentscheidungen privater Haushalte sowie das Zusammenspiel von Angebot von und Nachfrage nach Finanzdienstleistungen für Privatkunden. Die Forschungsvorhaben in diesem Bereich vereint das übergeordnete Ziel, Lösungen zu erarbeiten, die zu besseren Finanzentscheidungen von Haushalten führen. Die Abteilung hat neben der mikro- auch eine makroökonomische Perspektive, etwa hinsichtlich der Ausgestaltung von Pensionssystemen als Determinante sowohl der Tiefe und Breite von Kapitalmärkten als auch der langfristigen Vermögensbildung im Haushaltssektor einer Volkswirtschaft.
