Technological change, climate change, financial crises, inflation, and shocks to the real economy have triggered a rapid evolution of financial intermediation. Over the past decade, the regulatory framework was overhauled, new players entered the market, novel technologies were adopted, and demand for financial intermediation shifted in response to structural changes and shocks to economies worldwide. This workshop plans to discuss papers surrounding the future of financial intermediation.
