Corporate Communication, Agentic AI, and Prompt Injections

The article discusses how AI might change the way in which corporations communicate with shareholders and investors, focusing on AI agents. It starts with presenting selected use cases for integrating AI in corporate communication and highlights risks. The article then moves on to distinguish different instances of communication which we describe as friendly, interventionist, and retail-oriented corporate communication. For each mode of communication, the article presents a potential use case and its legal framework. It finds that AI agents have enormous potential to enhance efficiency in the preparation of corporate communication. At the same time, their use will rarely be lawful without intense human oversight. The article concludes with an examination of the important risks raised by prompt injections.
