Prof. Dr. Ulrike Malmendier
Ulrike Malmendier is the Cora Jane Flood Professor of Finance at Berkeley Haas and Professor of Economics at UC Berkeley. She is a leading expert on behavioral science, behavioral finance, and corporate finance. She served as a member of the German Council of Economic Experts and as President of the American Finance Association.
Ulrike received her PhD in Business Economics from Harvard University, and her PhD in Law from the University of Bonn. After her PhD she taught at Stanford University, with visiting positions at the University of Chicago and Princeton University. She also is a research associate at NBER, a faculty research fellow at IZA, a CESifo affiliate, and a CEPR research affiliate. Her research is published in leading journals and she has earned numerous awards including the Fischer Black Prize by the American Finance Association.
