The SAFE Research Data Center organizes and cordially invites you to attend the following seminar:

Data Management with Python and SQLite

to be held on 24 April 2024, 10:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. CET, SAFE Data Room, House of Finance, HoF E.02

In this seminar you will learn the practical aspects of data storage with SQLite and Python, including loading different data sets, e.g. from multiple CSV files. You will learn how to utilize Python's data processing capabilities to efficiently cleanse and transform various data sources and ensure robust integration with a SQLite database. We will demonstrate these strategies by loading a financial data set from WRDS (Wharton Research Data Services) and showing how to calculate simple descriptive statistics from it.

This will be a 75-minute seminar and an additional 15-minute Q&A session in which you are welcome to participate.

The seminar will be taught by Philip Schwedler (SAFE Data Center).

Registration is no longer possible, the maximum number of participants has been reached.

A valid Goethe Card is needed for attendance.
