Application and Funding
For Senior Visitors
Senior visitors are invited directly by the research professor heading the relevant research area, in consultation with the Directors of SAFE.
For Junior Visitors
Short-term and longer-term junior visitors please apply directly via email only to Daniela Dimitrova, by sending a CV, two letters of recommendation, a statement describing the purpose of the visit, and a research paper as an example of their work. Their applications will be passed on to the research professor coordinating their chosen research area. A final decision regarding the visits will be finally reached by the Directors of SAFE.
There will be limited funding available based on individual contracts. For more information please contact email@example.com.
Visitors can apply for a variety of research funding schemes for which SAFE is happy to act as host institution – a few options are listed below. Applications for external funding in liaison with SAFE will be treated separately from the applications for short term visits funded by SAFE. SAFE research professors will agree to serve as mentors/hosts for the visit once the application to SAFE has been accepted.
- EU Horizon 2020
- Alexander von Humboldt Fellowships
- DAAD Research Stays
SAFE as a Host
SAFE can act as host institution for Marie Curie Fellowships that are part of the PEOPLE-Specific Programme of the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7).
Candidates who would like to apply for such fellowships with SAFE as host institution are requested to indicate clearly for which research area they are applying. After evaluating the application, SAFE will contact the candidate with its decision. Candidates are informed of the result well before the deadline for submitting applications.
