The Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, Bayes Business School, the University of Zurich, and the Leibniz Institute for Financial Research SAFE organize and cordially invite you to submit your paper to the

6th Tri-City PhD Workshop on Empirical Research in Finance
to be held on 15 June 2026 at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management

Submission Deadline: April 2, 2026

Scope:
This workshop invites empirical papers by PhD students in any area of finance. We particularly welcome work that uses data to answer economically meaningful questions with careful identification, transparent measurement, and reproducible analysis.

PhD Mentoring:
The aim of the workshop is to allow PhD students to present their research and receive feedback from senior scholars during the discussion session. PhD students in the later stages of their PhD studies (e.g., students going on the job market in autumn 2026) are particularly encouraged to apply.

Submission:
The deadline for submission is April 2, 2026. Papers should be submitted via email to: day-ahead@fs.de.
There is no submission fee. Please indicate in your submission email if you require financial support (e.g., if your university is not covering your travel expenses). We aim to notify the authors of accepted papers by mid-April.

Further Information:
Lunch and dinner will be provided to participating students and discussants. The format of the workshop will largely follow last years’ editions, which you can find on the workshop website.

We look forward to receiving your submissions and to meeting you in Frankfurt!
