to be held on 12 July 2022 in a hybrid format: Campus Westend, Goethe University Frankfurt and online
Download the program (pdf)
The conference aims for a critical debate on the newly published sustainability standards released by the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). The contributions to the conference from academics, industry representatives and policy makers should help to improve the standard-setting process. What is the relationship between the ecological, political, and financial spheres?
The conference is scheduled towards the end of the consultation period for the exposure drafts presented by the ISSB. Leading representatives of the recently established ISSB will participate in the conference. There will be three panels that contribute to a science-based assessment and discussion of sustainability standards, involving researchers from different disciplines, including law, economics, finance, and natural sciences. Finally, the conference will be concluded with a high-level debate with policy makers and the ISSB. The program features a keynote address by finance scholar Robert Stambaugh of Wharton – University of Pennsylvania.
