From 24 to 25 November 2025, the ESG Uptake project team, together with the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the European Commission’s SG REFORM, and the Joint Research Centre (JRC), organized and participated in the Joint ESMA–SAFE Capital Markets Technical Support Instrument (TSI) Workshop, hosted by ESMA at its premises in Paris as part of the TSI Project on an ESG risk-management framework for the financial sector.
On 24 November, the workshop brought together representatives from National Competent Authorities across the Capital Markets sector, including NCAs participating in the ESGRM project as well as external NCAs invited specifically for this event, to share experiences on sustainability-related supervisory practices in the investment fund industry.
On 25 November, the workshop supported NCAs in strengthening sustainability-related fund supervision by building on methodological inputs developed during the TSI. The session featured a case-study-based, interactive discussion on how analytical outputs from the methodologies can be integrated into supervisory processes.
Following the workshop, participants also attended the ESMA Research Conference, which showcased the latest academic research on sustainable finance, analytical best practices, and emerging market trends.
