SAFE congratulates Steven Ongena, member of its Research Advisory Council, for receiving the highly prestigious ERC Advanced Grant. Ongena, Professor of Banking in the Department of Banking and Finance at the University of Zurich, will receive EUR 2.5 million in funding by the European Research Council over a period of five years for research on bank credit growth and financial crisis.
