Sustainable Finance Law in Europe – Navigating between Regulation, Contractual Practice, Litigation, and Regulatory Competition (SaiLEur)

Projekt Start: 01/2024
Status: Fortlaufend
Forscher: Nikolai Badenhoop
Bereich: Law and Finance
Finanziert von: Leibniz Competition

The project intends to analyze the nascent field of sustainable finance law in Europe. Sustainable finance law governs the link between financial markets and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals, which has grown significantly over the past decade. The project will assess four interrelated layers: regulation, contractual practice, litigation, and regulatory competition. The four layers of analysis are strongly interdependent. Regulation and contractual reality impact each other, and both are affected by litigation and regulatory competition. The project’s combined analysis will help navigate the multi-faceted field of sustainable finance law in Europe.
