The SAFE Policy Center and the British Embassy Berlin organize in partnership with the Green & Sustainable Finance Cluster Germany (GSFC) and the Federal Sustainable Finance Beirat (Advisory Council) a seminar on

Sustainable Finance: “Harnessing the transformational force of private finance”

to be held on 26 January 2024,09:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CET.

The UK and Germany both recognise the importance of mobilising private capital to enable the net zero transition. The UK’s update to its Green Finance Strategy shows how the government will ensure transparency of information across the economy, support the development of market tools, and scale up financing. On the other hand, Germany’s energy sector shift towards net zero is well way under way, galvanising active debates about the role of transition finance and just transition.

The seminar brings together policy experts, industry practitioners and researchers in the field of sustainable finance to discuss the opportunities and risks of accelerating financial flows in support of climate and biodiversity goals.

This event is by invitation only.
