The Law and Economics of Mergers and Acquisitions in the United States

by Jens Christian Dammann, Ben H. and Kitty King Powell Chair in Business and Commercial Law, University of Texas at Austin

This course covers the law and economics of mergers and acquisitions in the United States. Topics include (1) self-dealing, (2) sales of control, (3) parent-subsidiary mergers, and hostile takeovers. Participants are not expected to have any prior exposure to U.S. law, and there are no assigned readings for this course.
 
15 June – 5 academic hours (45 min each): 12:00 – 17:00, room HoF E.21 (Paris)
16 June – 4 academic hours (45 min each): 12:00 – 16:00, room HoF E.01 (Deutsche Bank)
The length of the breaks will be discussed with the lecturer
