Second Workshop for TRISP project

Team of “Trends in Inequality: Sources and Policy” met to discuss project output in London

On 20 and 21 November 2019, the members of the international team of TRISP (“Trends in Inequality: Sources and Policy”) have met for the second project workshop. The TRISP team used the opportunity of this workshop to present and discuss their project output as well as related research topics. Further, the members produced new and developed existing research ideas.

The research aims to evaluate the effects of inequality in income, wealth, hours worked and consumption on welfare and to quantitatively decompose the trends in inequality into their various sources. This year’s agenda included seven working paper from Nicola Fuchs-Schündeln (Goethe University), Uta Bolt (University College London and London Institute of Banking & Finance), Christopher Busch (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona), Giulio Fella (Queen Mary University of London), Per Krusell (Institute for International Economic Studies), Jonna Olsson (University of Amsterdam), and Tom Zawisza (London Institute of Banking & Finance). The workshop took place at the Institute for Fiscal Studies in London.

The project is funded by NORFACE (New Opportunities for Research Funding Agency Cooperation in Europe), a network of 19 national organizations in Europe that funds academic research in the social sciences.
