SAFE scholars receive funding for research on dark trading

The Europlace Institute of Finance (EIF) has awarded a research grant to a team of researchers, headed by Prof. Peter Gomber and Prof. Erik Theissen, for their research on the topic "Impact of Dark Trading on Market Quality”. The project by Peter Gomber, Satchit Sagade, Erik Theissen, Moritz Christian Weber and Christian Westheide analyzes the cross-sectional and time series impact of dark trading on market quality in the European equity markets.

Peter Gomber holds the Chair of e-Finance at Goethe University and Erik Theissen is Professor of Finance at the University of Mannheim. Both are principal investigators at SAFE, doing extensive research on the determinants of OTC trading volume, to which this project grant is related.
