4th Conference on Financial Markets and Macroeconomic Performance
The global financial and economic crisis in 2008/2009 has shown the critical importance of the financial sector for macroeconomic activity. In response, many policymakers and academic scholars have focused their attention on the link between financial markets and the real economy. Against this backdrop, the Center for Economic Policy (CEPR), the University of Mannheim, and the Research Center SAFE (Sustainable Architecture for Finance in Europe) at Goethe University are jointly organizing a conference on “Financial Markets and Macroeconomic Performance”.
Topics of interest include among others:
- Macroeconomic Stabilization Policy
- Macroeconomics, Financial Markets and Inequality
We particularly encourage young researchers to submit their work. Albert Marcet (ICREA-IAE and Barcelona GSE) and Martin Uribe (Columbia University) have already made a commitment to present their work at the conference.
If you are interested in presenting your work, please submit drafts or papers by February 28, 2019, to Daniela Dimitrova. We cover travel and accommodation expenses for all active participants.
