Dr. Reiko Tobe presented the working paper „Scarcity and Spotlight Effects on Term Structure: Quantitative Easing in Japan” at the 48th Japanese Association of Financial Econometrics and Engineering (JAFEE), which was held on 2-3 March 2018. The paper focuses on the Quantitative Easing programs conducted by the Bank of Japan and analyses the effects for the liquidity of the Japanese government bond market through spotlight effect (the attention from the market participants) and the scarcity of net available bonds.
