Jim Yong Kim, M.D., Ph.D is a physician and anthropologist who became the 12th President of the World Bank on July 1, 2012. Before, he was President of Dartmouth College from 2009 to 2012 and the Chair of the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He also is a co-founder of Partners In Health (PIH) and a former director of the HIV/AIDS Department at the World Health Organization (WHO).
